1. Commitment / प्रतिबद्धता

Jammu & Kashmir Police is committed to making e-Maalkhana usable by all authorised officers, including persons with disabilities and users of assistive technologies. The System is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and Apps (GIGW) 3.0, in line with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस ई-मालखाना को सभी अधिकृत अधिकारियों, दिव्यांगजन और सहायक तकनीक उपयोगकर्ताओं सहित, के लिए सुगम बनाने हेतु प्रतिबद्ध है। प्रणाली WCAG 2.1 स्तर AA और GIGW 3.0 के अनुरूप बनाई गई है।

2. Accessibility features / सुगम्यता सुविधाएँ

  • "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • Text size controls (A-, A, A+) and a high-contrast mode, remembered on your device.
  • Full keyboard operation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Labelled form fields, meaningful headings and text alternatives for images.
  • Touch targets of at least 44–48 pixels for mobile use.
  • Interface in English, Hindi, Urdu, Kashmiri and Dogri, with right-to-left layout for Urdu and Kashmiri.
  • Page language is announced to screen readers when you switch languages.
  • Animations are reduced when your device requests reduced motion.

3. Assistive technologies / सहायक तकनीक

The System is intended to work with current versions of common browsers and screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.

4. Known limitations / ज्ञात सीमाएँ

Some complex data tables, charts, camera and QR-scanning screens, and printed labels may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Text alternatives and keyboard paths are provided wherever possible, and these areas are being improved.

कुछ जटिल तालिकाएँ, चार्ट, कैमरा / QR स्कैन स्क्रीन और मुद्रित लेबल अभी पूरी तरह WCAG 2.1 AA पर नहीं हो सकते; इनमें सुधार जारी है।
